Boot & Dart is a dynamic arboricultural company focused on providing a total planting package for use in large-scale green projects in urban and landscape areas throughout Europe. High-quality products, enthusiasm and solution-oriented thinking are the basis of its success. With our own product location sites covering approximately 150 ha in both Zundert and Boskoop, we are able to develop and produce a large part of the products ourselves.
In Zundert:
In Zundert, we load and grow shrubs, roses, avenue trees and solitaries for our customers. The warehouse/nursery team in Zundert consists of about 35 permanent, enthusiastic warehouse and nursery employees who often work in smaller teams.
The team:
The friendly logistics team of the avenue tree loading operation consists of about 9 motivated skilled workers. During the delivery season, they take care of the unloading and loading of the avenue trees using a mobile crane. In busy periods, they also work with additional machines provided by a contractor.
The work:
During the delivery season, as a cooperating foreman, you ensure that the loading of the avenue trees runs like clockwork. Together with the team, you ensure that the avenue trees are loaded correctly and on time. You coordinate the unloading of incoming trees and the loading of outgoing trees. You are responsible for quality control and communicate with the sales and purchasing department. You are the connecting link between the planning and your team which takes care of the (over)loading of the avenue trees. At busy times, you manage your own team as well as the contractor who provides extra capacity. You communicate about the stock of trees in the clod racks with purchasing, which ensures that this is correctly administered in the ICT system.
Time for time (more hours in the delivery season and fewer hours in the summer) is a possibility.
Job requirements/qualities:
• Assortment and quality knowledge of avenue trees
• MBO+ working and thinking level
• Be able to read, write and speak Dutch well
• Be able to coordinate and keep an overview even in busy situations
• Be able to manage employees so that optimum team performance is achieved
• Order, cleanliness and quality awareness are of paramount importance
